Privacy policy

MyHostKit makes printable sheets and a phone guidebook for short-term rental hosts. This page explains what we keep, where it lives, and who else touches it. The short version: we keep as little as the product needs, and we do not sell or rent anything about you.

Without an account

Everything you type into the editor is saved in your own browser’s local storage. It does not reach our servers, and clearing your browser data deletes it.

With an account

If you sign in, we store your email address and your property details so your kit follows you between devices. Sign-in is by an emailed link, so we never hold a password. Accounts and kit data are stored with Supabase in the United States.

Guest guide links

• A copied guest link carries the guide inside the link itself, after the #. That part is never sent to our servers.
• A live link is looked up on our servers each time it opens, and shows only the guest-facing parts of your property, never the cleaner checklist.

Either way, anyone holding a link can read it, including the Wi-Fi password. Guide links are kept out of search engines.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe directly and never reach us. We keep a record that your account paid, and Stripe’s checkout session ID, so your kit stays unlocked.

Airbnb import

If you paste a listing link, we send that public link to Apify, which reads the public listing page and returns its details to fill in your kit.

Email

Sign-in links and receipts are sent through Resend. We do not send marketing email.

Analytics and cookies

We use Vercel Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies and does not track you across sites. The only cookies we set are the ones that keep you signed in, and only after you sign in.

Deleting your data

Signed in, use the delete button next to Sign out in the editor. It erases your account, every property, every live guide link and your purchase record straight away, and clears this browser too. Stripe keeps its own record of any payment, as the law requires.

Without an account, nothing is stored with us. Clearing your browser data for this site deletes it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Questions about it can go to us.
